General Description
Scapes 10–60 cm. Leaves mostly glabrous; the blade oblong, 3–25 cm long, entire to serrulate. Umbel glandular, of 3 to 10 flowers; pedicels 1–4 cm long. Flowers sometimes 4-merous; corolla lobes 8–20 mm long, pink to purple (white), darker than the tube, often glandular; base of anther tube purple, horizontally wrinkled; calyx glandular, filaments <1 mm long. Capsule ovoid, 6–12 mm long, operculate, valves splitting below the operculum (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
