General Description
Stems erect, 20–40 cm. Herbage glabrous to puberulent on the stem. Basal leaf blades oblanceolate to obovate, entire, 2–7 cm long. Stem leaves lanceolate to oblanceolate, 2–7 cm long, the lower petiolate. Inflorescence of 2 to 7 glabrous, dense verticillasters. Flowers: calyx 3–7 mm long; sepals obovate, erose and widely scarious-margined with an acuminate tip; corolla blue to violet, 11–16 mm long, glabrous; anthers glabrous, opening across their full length.
