General Description
Annual. Stems prostrate or climbing, 20–90 cm. Herbage glabrate to sparsely strigose. Leaves with a branched tendril; the 6 to 16 leaflets oblanceolate with retuse-mucronate tips, 14–30 mm long; stipules deeply dentate, 2–8 mm long. Racemes of 1 or 2 flowers. Flowers blue to magenta, 10–18 mm long; calyx sparsely strigose; sepals linear-lanceolate, 3–4 mm long, subequal. Legume linear, 2–7 cm long (Lesica 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants.
