General Description
Plants from a branched caudex or short rhizome. Stems erect, simple, 20–70 cm. Herbage densely puberulent. Leaves basal and cauline; basal long-petiolate with lanceolate to ovate, entire to serrate blades 5–12 cm long; cauline becoming sessile upward. Inflorescence corymbiform, hemispheric. Involucres campanulate, 5–8 mm high; phyllaries linear-oblong, striate, canescent. Rays 6 to 13; ligules 2–3 mm long. Disk flowers 14 to 35; corollas 4–5 mm long (Lesica 2012.
