General Description
Perennial from a woody branched caudex. Stems prostrate to ascending, 10–25 cm, branched above. Herbage strigillose. Leaves mostly opposite, sessile, 1–2 cm long, lanceolate, entire. Inflorescence a leafy-bracted raceme. Flowers yellow or white; hypanthium 1–3 mm long; sepals 3–5 mm long; petals 7–9 mm long, 1 slightly larger; stigma 4-lobed. Capsule slightly curved, puberulent, 10–25 mm long; seeds reticulate with a deciduous coma (
