General Description
Stems ascending or erect, 10–50 cm, mostly simple. Herbage densely to sparsely pubescent. Leaves short-petiolate; blade 2–7 cm long. Inflorescence of verticillasters in leaf axils. Flowers: calyx pubescent, 2–4 mm long, lobes acuminate; corolla purplish, 3–7 mm long, rarely 5-lobed (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
