Although the species may be migratory, one hibernaculum has been located in eastern Montana.

Food Habits
Stomach contents analysis of 8 specimens from Carter County yielded the following : Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Hymeoptera, Diptera,Scarabaeidae,and Tricoptera.

Ecology
MYOTIS VOLANS is most often found in small colonies. Occaisionally it is found in larger colonies with MYOTIS LUCIFUGUS.
