DRAFT: Requesting feedback on the 2026 revised rank, factors, and State Rank Reason outlined below and in the Conservation Status Rank Report. Erythronium grandiflorum var. candidum occurs sporadically in forested habitats of western Montana. Statewide population levels are unknown and data to determine recent trends are unavailable. No significant and widespread threats to the species have been identified though some occurrences are adjacent to roads, which potentially make them more vulnerable to negative impacts. Surveys are needed at known sites to document population size and condition. Additional surveys in areas of potentially suitable habitat are also necessary to identify any new populations.
