General Description
Shrub 1–3 m. Twigs blackish, mostly glabrous. Leaf blades 3–8 cm long, oblanceolate to obovate, finely serrate with glandular teeth, green above, glaucous beneath, glabrous at maturity. Female catkins emerge with the leaves, 2–7 cm long on leafy branchlets 7–15 mm long; scales brown to black, long-hairy. Capsules glabrous, 4–6 mm long; stipes 0.5–1.5 mm long; style 0.5–1.5 mm long (
