Suksdorf's Hawthorn - Crataegus suksdorfii
General Description
Stems tan becoming gray; thorns 15–25 mm long, straight to curved. Leaf blades glandular, elliptic to obovate, 3–6 cm long, glandular-serrate; sometimes shallowly lobed, appressed-hairy above, glabrous beneath. Inflorescence 7- to 15-flowered, glabrous, punctate. Flowers: hypanthium glabrous externally; sepals ca. 4 mm long; petals 6–8 mm long; stamens 20; styles 4 or 5. Pome 1 cm wide, black and glabrous at maturity (
