Diagnostic Characteristics
Differs from subspeices depressa by the more deltoid leaf blades and larger flowers (4-6 mm wide) (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

Range Comments
BC to MT and SD, south to CA, NV, UT, and CO (Kartesz 2009).
