Glabrous annual from a thickened taproot. Stems prostrate to ascending, 3–20 cm long, branched. Leaves basal and cauline; the basal withering early; stem leaves oblanceolate, 1–8 cm long, pinnately lobed with sinuate margins, the terminal lobe largest.
