		General Description
		Biennial or short-lived perennial; the caudex often clothed in old leaf bases. Stems erect, usually simple, 10–50 cm. Leaves linear to narrowly oblanceolate, 2–10 cm long with entire to dentate margins. Petals 12–25 mm long, sometime orangish. Fruits spreading to ascending, 4-angled, 4–10 cm × 1–2 mm; pedicels spreading, 5–12 mm long; style 2–4 mm long (
