General Description
Fibrous-rooted from a branched rhizome. Stems ascending to erect, 3–10 cm, scapiform. Herbage sparsely arachnoid. Leaves mostly basal; blades oblong to ovate, entire to dentate at the tip, 5–15 mm long, greatly reduced on the stem. Inflorescence of 1 to 3 heads. Heads radiate (discoid); involucres 7–9 mm high; phyllaries 13 or 21, glabrous or sparsely arachnoid. Rays (0)8 to 13; ligules 5–9 mm long. Disk flowers 5 to 7 mm long.
