General Description
Short-lived, fibrous-rooted perennial. Stems erect, 3–35 cm, sometimes branched above. Herbage villous-hirsute, eglandular. Leaves basal and cauline; blades oblanceolate, 1–8 cm long, entire, linear above. Heads 1 to 12, radiate. Involucres turbinate, 4–10 mm high; phyllaries in 2 or 3 series, eglandular, sparsely villous, often purple-tipped. Rays white, 70 to 130, erect; ligules filiform, 1–3 mm long, inconspicuous. Disk corollas slender, 3–5 mm long. Achenes ca. 1.5 mm long (
