General Description
Annual. Stems ascending to erect, branched, 15–60 cm. Herbage glabrous to strigose. Leaf blades ovate, entire to sinuate, 2–8 cm long; petioles wing-margined. Inflorescence axillary, few-flowered corymbs; peduncle ca. 1 cm long. Flowers: calyx lobes 0.5–1.5 mm long; corolla white, lobes spreading, 1–3 mm long; anthers 1–2 mm long. Berry becoming black, 7–10 mm long, persistent calyx not swollen (Lesica 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
