General Description
Stems 50–150 cm, sparsely to densely covered with fine prickles as well as larger, hooked to straight nodal prickles. Leaves with 5 to 9, ovate, sometimes glandular-dentate leaflets 1–4 cm long. Flowers 2 or more in small corymbs; hypanthium glabrous, 4–5 mm long; sepals 8–20 mm long, persistent, pubescent, especially on the margins, sometimes stipitate-glandular; petals 15–25 mm long.
