Common and widespread in Montana.
General Description
Stems limber, 3–6 m long, sometimes covering shrubs and small trees. Leaf blades glabrous, divided into 3 to 7 ovate, lobed leaflets, 2–6 cm long. Inflorescence a several-flowered, bracteate panicle from leaf axils. Flowers unisexual; sepals spreading, white, 5–10 mm long. Achene beaks 2–5 cm long (
