Very common in western Montana in low elevation grasslands and open ponderosa pine woodlands.
General Description
Stems erect to ascending, 15–80 cm. Herbage strigose to tomentose. Basal leaf blades sagittate, 10–30 cm long, entire. Involucre campanulate, 15–22 mm high, 12–25 mm across; phyllaries lanceolate, tomentose, outer as long or longer than the inner. Ray ligules 20–40 mm long. Disk corollas 6–9 mm long (
