General Description
Fibrous-rooted biennial or short-lived perennial. Stems erect, 8–50 cm. Herbage sparsely strigose to villous-hirsute. Leaves basal and cauline; blades linear-lanceolate to oblanceolate, 1–10 cm long, entire, sessile and narrower above. Heads 1 to 6, radiate. Involucres hemispheric, 5–10 mm high; phyllaries in 3 or 4 series, sparsely hirsute. Rays >125, white or blue ligules narrow, 6–13 mm long. Disk corollas 3–6 mm long. Achenes ca. 1.5 mm long (
