General Description

Leaves 5–20 cm long. Leaf blade 2 to 3 times pinnate with 9 to 20 pairs of pinnae, the rachis with narrow dark scales. Pinnules oblong, nearly glabrous above but covered with hair and narrow brown scales below (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
