General Description
Stems loosely bunched, 50–90 cm. Leaves: blades 4–6 mm wide. Inflorescence a contracted panicle 10–40 cm long. Spikelets 5–7 mm long. Lemmas 2 per spikelet, awns absent (Lavin in Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
