General Description
Perennial bunchgrass. Stems 10–50 cm. Leaves: blades 2–4 mm wide, flat or inrolled. Inflorescence a pyramidal panicle 5–18 cm long. Spikelets 3–6 mm long. Lemmas 1.5–2 mm long, with a blunt tip (Lavin in Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
