General Description
Perennial bunchgrass. Stems 30–100 cm. Leaves: blades 3–8 mm wide. Inflorescence a cylindrical panicle 3.5–8 cm long, 5–10 mm in diameter. Spikelets 5–6 mm long; glumes silky along the keel and marginal veins. Lemmas awned from near the base, awn extending 3–4 mm beyond lemma tip (Lavin in
