General Description
Perennial bunchgrass. Stems 20–30 cm. Leaves: blades 1–2 mm wide, ligules 1–4 mm long. Inflorescence an open panicle 4–6 cm long. Spikelets 1.6–2 mm long. Lemmas 1.4–1.9 mm long, awnless; palea absent (Lavin in Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
