General Description
Stems 25–50 cm. Leaves 5–25 cm × 2–6 mm. Inflorescence a crowded panicle; pedicels 5–15 mm long; some flowers on lowest branches functionally male. Flowers: tepals 4–6 mm long; the inner longer; stamens longer than the tepals. Capsule 10–18 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
