General Description
Stems erect, usually simple, 15–30 cm. Herbage sparsely pubescent. Leaves not clasping, 5-9 cm long. Inflorescence: 1 or 2 pendent flowers on short-hairy pedicels. Flowers yellow-green, streaked reddish; tepals 6–10 mm long with barely spreading tips; stamens ca. equal; style 3-branched. Berry red berry 5–6 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

Range Comments
BC, AB south or OR, MT and ON to NL south to WI and WV. One collection from Flathead County (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
