General Description
Annual. Stems lax, prostrate or climbing, simple or branched, 10–80 cm. Herbage hooked-scabrous on stem angles and leaf margins. Leaves linear to narrowly oblanceolate, cuspidate, 5–20 mm long, in whorls of 6(8). Inflorescence a few-flowered umbel terminating axillary peduncles and subtended by a whorl of leaf-like bracts; pedicels 5–25 mm long in fruit. Flowers: corolla ca. 1 mm across.
