General Description
Stems erect, 10–30 cm with hirsute to glabrous foliage. Basal leaf blades 1–5 cm long, ovate to fan-shaped, shallowly lobed or scalloped on the upper half. Flowers with petals 3–8 mm long, slightly longer than the hirsute sepals. Achenes finely hairy, ca. 2 mm long with a hooked beak 0.5 mm or less long; heads cylindric, 5–12 mm high (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

POLLINATORS
