General Description
Annual, similar to the more common C. linearis. Stems simple, erect, 15–60 cm. Herbage glabrate to puberulent, glandular above. Leaves sessile, alternate, lanceolate, entire, 2–7 cm long. Inflorescence a dense, leafy-bracted, terminal cluster of sessile flowers. Flowers: calyx 5–7 mm long, the tube white; corolla yellow to light pink; tube 2–3 cm long; lobes 6–10 mm long; stamens unequally attached, mostly included in the corolla (Lesica et al. 2012.
