General Description
Sparsely short-hairy perennial. Stems erect, 30–60 cm. Leaf blades: the lower shallowly lobed; the upper deeply divided into 3 to 5 deeply toothed lobes. Flowers white to pink, 4–5 cm across. Schizocarp hairy (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

Range Comments
Known from Granite and Gallatin counties (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX); in North America widely distributed although less so in the South (USDA PLANTS database).
