General Description
Sparsely puberulent perennial. Stems erect, 50–200 cm. Leaves 5–20 cm wide, maple-like with 5 to 7 crenate lobes. Flowers pedicillate, 1 to several in upper leaf axils and a terminal panicle; sepals 3–5 mm long, the bracteoles linear; petals 15–25 mm long, pink to rose. Schizocarp, long-hairy, ca. 1 cm high with 10 or more 2- to 4-seeded sections (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
