General Description
Glabrous annual. Stems prostrate, 5–45 cm. Leaves opposite, oblong-ovate, obtuse to emarginate at the tip, rounded at the base, entire, 4–12 mm long. Inflorescence: solitary cyathia in leaf axils. Cyathia 1–1.5 mm long; glands with white to reddish margins. Capsule 1–2 mm long; seeds smooth (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
