General Description
Plants usually wholly submerged. Stems 5–20 cm. Leaves linear, 5–10 mm long, not joined together around the stem. Flowers solitary in leaf axils; bracteoles absent. Fruit 1–2 mm long, round in outline, sometimes with narrowly winged margins at the apex (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
