Strawberry Goosefoot - Chenopodium capitatum var. capitatum
General Description
See description for species. The typical variety can be distinguished from variety parvicapitatum as such: Glomerules fleshy, red, 6-10 mm diam. in fruit; leaf blades truncate to cordate at base, margins usually strongly toothed (Welsh, 2003, in Flora N. America, Vol. 4).
Range Comments
Across much of North America excluding the southern Great Plains (OK southwards) and the southeastern and mid-Atlantic states (Kartesz 2009).
