General Description
Plants forming loose mats with glandular-hairy foliage. Stems ascending or trailing, brittle, 3–25 cm. Leaves 1-veined, 5–10 mm long, rigid, mucronate. Flowers in few-flowered cymes; sepals 1-veined, 3–5 mm long, lance-shaped, acuminate; petals shorter than or equal to sepals. Capsule shorter than calyx (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

Our plants are variety nuttallii.
