General Description
Biennial or short-lived perennial with a simple or sometimes branched caudex. Stems to 70 cm, terminal. Vestiture of dense, fine, branched hairs on basal leaves and stems. Basal leaves oblong to oblanceolate with entire to toothed margins, 1–3 cm long. Stem leaves narrowly lance-shaped, auriculate- clasping. Flowers white to purple; petals 5–9 mm long. Fruit 3–8 cm × 1.5–2 mm, straight to slightly curved; pedicels gently to sharply reflexed, glabrous or hairy; seeds narrowly wing-margined, in 1 row per locule (Lesica et al. 2012.
