General Description
Rhizomatous and fibrous-rooted perennial. Stems erect to ascending, 6–40 cm, usually simple. Basal leaves often undivided, early deciduous. Stem leaves usually pinnate with a large, ovate terminal segment 1–5 cm long and sinuate to dentate margins, reduced upward. Petals 3–6 mm long. Fruits 15–30 mm long, the beak up to 1 mm long; pedicels 8–12 mm long (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX)..
