General Description
Stems erect, usually simple, 10–60 cm. Leaves 2–10 cm long. Flowers: calyx 6–10 mm long; sepals unequal; corolla yellow to orange, tube 7–9 mm long, lobes 1–2 mm long; fornices hairy; stamens inserted at or below middle of the tube. Nutlets ovoid, 2–3 mm long, green to brown (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).

Range Comments
BC, MT south to CA. Collected once in Gallatin County (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
