General Description
Stems prostrate to ascending, 10–40 cm; twigs white-tomentose; bark brown. Leaves oblanceolate to oblong, 1–3 cm long, glandular, sparsely tomentose, axillary fascicles absent. Inflorescence with 1or few heads. Involucres obconic, 9–14 mm high; phyllaries subequal, lanceolate, glandular, whitish. Rays absent. Disk flowers 10 to 26; corolla 9–11 mm long. Achenes oblong, 5–6 mm long, villous (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
