The Yellow-throated Warbler breeds in the eastern U.S. from southeastern Iowa and Missouri east to the Atlantic Coast and south through the Gulf Coast states (Sibley 2014). In Montana, this species has a couple of summer observations over the past decade (Montana Bird Distribution Committee 2012).
