General Description

The Blackburnian Warbler breeds from central Alberta east to Newfoundland and along the northern regions of the states from Minnesota to Maine, as well as down the Appalachian range into Tennessee. The species winters primarily in the Andes and is an uncommon migrant through Montana with fewer than four observations reported in the typical year (Morse 2004, MTNHP 2019).
