The Black-throated Green Warbler breeds primarily in northeastern North America south through the Appalachian Mountains of Georgia and Alabama (Morse and Poole 2005). In Montana, this species has several spring, late summer, and fall observations over the past decade (Montana Bird Distribution Committee 2012).
