The Northern Parula breeds from southeastern Manitoba, south-central Ontario, southern Quebec, and the Maritime Provinces south to northeastern Minnesota, northern Wisconsin, and the Mid-Atlantic states; west to central Illinois, southern Iowa, eastern Kansas; south to eastern Texas, the Gulf Coast, and Florida (Sibley 2014). In Montana, the Northern Parula has had several summer and fall records over the past decade (Montana Bird Distribution Committee 2012).
