General Description
The white-rumped Sandpiper breeds in the high Arctic and winters in Patagonia. The species is an uncommon migrant to Montana with fewer than thirteen observations reported in the typical year, most of which are in the eastern part of the state (Parmelee 1992, MTNHP 2019).
