The Manx Shearwater breeds in the North Atlantic, overwinters along the southern east coast of the U.S., and is a rare visitor to the Pacific coast (Sibley 2014). The Manx Shearwater is an accidental spring migrant in Montana (Montana Bird Distribution Committee 2012).
