Regional endemic genus, numerous collections from several counties. Habitat probably mostly secure (high elevation meadows).
 
General Description
Perennial herbs from simple, ascending, scaly rootstocks. Stems simple, leafless, glandular-puberulent, 20–60 cm. Leaves long-petiolate in a basal rosette; the blades orbicular, cordate with crenulate margins, 1–5 cm wide, glabrous except for curved, marginal cilia, purplish beneath. Inflorescence a 6- to 12-flowered, small-bracted, glandular, spike-like raceme. Flowers 5-merous, regular, perfect, perigynous, obconical; calyx 4–7 mm long with oblong lobes ca. 1 mm long; petals white, 4–5 mm long, clawed; stamens 5, equaling the calyx lobes. Fruit 2 capsules mostly inferior; seeds numerous (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
