General Description
Rhizomatous or taprooted. Stems erect, 25–80 cm. Herbage puberulent. Leaf blades 1–10 cm long, pinnately divided; segments oblanceolate, deeply serrate. Involucre 5–7 mm across; phyllaries in 2 or 3 series. Ray flowers female, white; ligules 2–8 mm long. Disk corollas ca. 2 mm long. Achenes 1–2 mm long, 5- to 10-angled (Lesica et al. 2012. Range Comments
Introduced in eastern U.S. and BC to MT south to NV, UT and CO (Lesica et al. 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
