General Description
Stems terete, branched. Submersed leaves linear, 3–8 cm × 2–5 mm, attached to the stipule; stipules 1–3 cm long, shredding above the leaf attachment. Floating leaves absent. Spikes 7–15 mm long with separate flowers. Tepals yellowish, 1–1.5 mm long. Fruits ca. 2 mm long, keeled with a curved beak (Lesica 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press.
