General Description
Stems 50–140 cm tall, bulbous at the base. Leaves: blades 5–9 mm wide, sheath subtending inflorescence not inflated. Inflorescence 6–12 cm long and 5–8 mm wide. Spikelets 3–4 mm long. Lemmas 2.5–2 mm long (Lavin in Lesica 2012. Manual of Montana Vascular Plants. BRIT Press. Fort Worth, TX).
